A special web portal to
make cross border business easier in the EU The new ‘Your Europe - Business’ portal gives entrepreneurs easy access to information on doing business in other EU Member States. It has been established in close cooperation with Member States and is part of the implementation of the Small Business Act. Re-launched by European Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen at the European Business Summit today, the site helps SMEs to take advantage of opportunities to trade and offer their services in the Single Market. ‘Your Europe - Business’ answers questions such as: How to register a company in the Netherlands? What permits are needed to sell products now also in Italy? Or what does an entrepreneur need to know about taxes in Poland or labour law in Germany? European Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen, responsible for Enterprise and Industry, said: “This initiative is another step to make life easier for SMEs and to help them to do business in other Member States. The single market is too big an asset for European businesses to waste opportunities due to a lack of information.” 'Your Europe - Business' is another step to implement the Think Small First principle. It answers questions about legal requirements, possibilities and constraints of doing business in each EU Member State and at EU level. However, the portal goes even further. It also offers direct access to e-government services (such as VAT refund procedures) and online administrative procedures in the EU Member States and gives companies a run-down of the business support services in a chosen country – for example the local branches of the Enterprise Europe Network. The offer even includes a dedicated section on access to finance for each country. Developed in close cooperation with the Member States, all information is available in English and in the official language of any chosen country. Translations into further languages (such as German, French and languages of important neighbouring countries) will be added at a later state. Mercato unico dei prodotti e dei
servizi L'ulteriore apertura del mercato unico è stato uno dei temi chiave della legislatura. Il Parlamento ha adottato testi legislativi riguardo all'energia, alle telecomunicazioni e al settore postale, nonché una direttiva generale sui servizi. I deputati hanno approvato nuove norme sui giocattoli sulle etichette dei prodotti alimentari, e chiesto insistentemente un nuovo regolamento sull'indicazione dell'origine dei prodotti importati e la tutela del settore tessile. Il Parlamento dovrà esaminare una proposta di direttiva contro la pirateria e la contraffazione. Rimuovere gli ostacoli alla libera prestazione dei servizi La direttiva "servizi" rimuove gli ostacoli alla libera prestazione dei servizi nell'UE e alla libertà di stabilimento delle imprese fornitrici di servizi in un altro Stato membro. Ciò riguarda sia servizi alle imprese sia ai consumatori: dalla consulenza legale e fiscale, alle agenzie immobiliari, passando dal turismo e dai parchi divertimento. Alcuni settori restano però esclusi, come i servizi sanitari e sociali, i trasporti, i servizi audiovisivi, i giochi d'azzardo e servizi forniti da notai e ufficiali giudiziari. Gli Stati membri dovranno anche garantire una semplificazione amministrativa, come l'istituzione di sportelli unici. Il testo finale, come voluto dal Parlamento, riflette un equilibrio tra la concorrenza e la protezione sociale. Protezione dei consumatori Tariffe roaming meno care nell'UE, chiara indicazione dei prezzi e delle tasse sui biglietti aerei e più agevoli crediti al consumo transfrontalieri. sicuri per la salute umana Il Parlamento ha adottato un regolamento che intende rafforzare e chiarire le attuali norme su sicurezza dei cosmetici, responsabilità dei produttori e controlli, riducendo al contempo gli oneri amministrativi. Rende più stringenti le norme sul ricorso a sostanze cancerogene e introduce nuove disposizioni sul ricorso sicuro a nanomateriali, sulla sorveglianza del mercato e sulla rintracciabilità dei prodotti. Pictogrammes pour la signalisation de santé et de sécurité et l'étiquetage des produits chimiques - Les pictogrammes, ou symboles graphiques, peuvent servir à décrire une situation, à prescrire un comportement déterminé, ou encore à donner une indication de danger. Sur les lieux de travail, un pictogramme appliqué sur un panneau participe à la signalisation de santé et de sécurité. Les pictogrammes servent également en matière d'étiquetage des produits chimiques.
